QA Scorecard Calculator

Calculate a weighted quality score from your audit parameters. Enter each parameter’s score and weight to see its contribution to the overall result.

WEIGHTED QUALITY SCORING

Choose what matters. Set the weightage for each parameter, enter its score, and see how it contributes to the total.

Scorecard parameters

Scores: 0–100%. Weights must add up to 100%.

Mark “Fatal / critical error occurred” only when an error occurred that makes the entire audit score zero under your organisation’s policy.

Total weight100%

Weights add up to 100%.

Use your own agreed target to compare the result.

Starter parameters and weights are editable. Calculations run in your browser.

How is the score calculated?

Parameter contribution = score (%) × weight (%) ÷ 100

Add the contributions to get the overall QA score. For example: (90 × 30 ÷ 100) + (92 × 50 ÷ 100) + (100 × 20 ÷ 100) = 93.00%.

Enter scores from 0 to 100 and positive weights totalling exactly 100. Inputs support up to two decimal places. Target comparisons use the displayed total, rounded to two decimal places.

Fatal / critical rule: if any parameter is marked “Fatal / critical error occurred”, the final QA score is 0%, regardless of its numeric score or weight. The weighted total and contributions remain visible for reference. A low or zero parameter score alone does not trigger this override. Uncheck the error and recalculate to restore normal scoring. All names, scores and weights must still be valid. Non-applicable parameters are not automatically excluded.

How to use this QA scorecard calculator

1. Set up your parameters and weights

Rename the starter parameters to match your audit scorecard. Add or remove parameters as needed, and assign a positive weight to each one. Your weights must total exactly 100%.

2. Enter each parameter’s score

Enter a percentage score from 0 to 100 for every parameter. Use your agreed evaluation criteria consistently. For example, if a parameter earned 8 out of 10 available points, enter 80.

3. Record any fatal or critical error

Select “Fatal / critical error occurred” only when an error occurred that makes the entire audit score zero under your organisation’s policy. Marking any parameter activates this rule when you calculate. A low or zero parameter score alone does not activate it.

4. Calculate and review the result

Optionally enter your team’s target, then select “Calculate score”. Review the final score and each parameter’s contribution. If a fatal or critical error is marked, the final score becomes 0%, while the weighted score before the override remains visible for reference. Download the CSV to keep a record of your calculation.

Frequently asked questions.

Weights determine how much each parameter contributes to the overall score. A weight of 30% means that parameter can contribute up to 30 percentage points. This calculator requires the weights to total exactly 100% before it calculates a result.

A zero score contributes zero points for that parameter. Other parameters can still contribute to the weighted total. The entire audit score becomes zero when you explicitly select “Fatal / critical error occurred” for any parameter and calculate the result.

This calculator does not automatically exclude non-applicable parameters or redistribute their weights. Follow your organisation’s approved N/A rules. If those rules allow exclusion, remove the parameter and adjust the remaining weights to total 100%. Do not enter zero solely to represent N/A, because zero counts as a scored result.

A marked fatal or critical error overrides the final score to 0%, regardless of the weighted total. The calculator retains the weighted score before the override for reference. If you marked an error accidentally, uncheck it and select “Calculate score” again.
