CX Metric Works provides practical calculators and guides for customer experience, quality management and related operational work. The information is intended to support learning and help visitors understand common metrics.
Our content provides general information. It does not replace your organisation’s approved procedures, a formal audit, a compliance assessment or professional advice suited to your circumstances.
2. Interpreting calculator results
A calculator result depends on the inputs you provide and the formula, assumptions, units, weights and rounding used by that tool. Incorrect, incomplete or inconsistent inputs can produce misleading results.
Check the instructions and definitions on the relevant tool page. Metric definitions, scoring rules and reporting methods may differ between organisations and software platforms, so a result from our calculator may differ from a result produced by another system.
For example, a weighted QA score should be interpreted alongside any separate critical-failure rules in your organisation’s scorecard. AHT calculations require consistent time units and a clear definition of handled contacts. CSAT calculations depend on which responses are counted as satisfied and which responses are included in the total.
Independently verify important calculations before using them in reports, coaching, performance reviews or other business decisions.
3. Examples, targets and outcomes
Worked examples, sample scores and illustrations are provided to explain a method. Unless a source is expressly identified, they should be treated as illustrative figures rather than reported results from a particular organisation.
An example score or target is not a universal industry standard. Appropriate targets depend on factors such as your process, customer needs, channel, reporting definitions and organisational objectives.
Use of our tools or guides does not guarantee improvements in customer satisfaction, quality scores, productivity or any other business outcome.

We aim to make our content clear, useful and accurate. However, errors, omissions or outdated information may occur, and a resource may not cover every situation.
